This example has flexible width for the center column between maximum and minimum limits which prevent the center column becoming too wide with large window resolutions which might be 1920px wide (IE6 uses width:expression which only works with ActiveX; if ActiveX is disabled the center column will extend as far as allowed by a viewer's window resolution). IE6 sometimes needs a refresh to get the columns aligned properly if it isn't correct after the first download. It shows how the footer sticks to the window bottom if there is not much content above.
